My passion for dancing started at the age of 6. Learning Jazz & Ballet at the local school hall on Saturday mornings was a great start to the weekend! Moving to another dancing school several years later I was dancing twice a week continuing on with Jazz & Ballet and adding tap dancing to the class list. Dancing through my teenage years was a great way to catch up with friends, get fit & have lots of fun. My teenage years were spent dancing with Bec & Emma so we knew each quite well.

I studied 2 Unit dance for my HSC, which included dancing for various charities, film clips & dancing for various shows for Channel 9. These 2 years gave me a greater appreciation for where dance originated from as well greater understanding of contemporary dance. My love of dance grew each day as I learned a new style, move or technique. I had experienced teachers that had a great understanding & knowledge for dance that shone through in their teaching.

I performed at the Rock Eistedfod challenge for my last 2 years of schooling and found this to be a great experience as we mingled with other schools & learnt from their dances they performed.

Starting a dance studio was one of the best decisions ever!! Emma & I have our own classes to teach along with running the business side of things. Years later I think we are doing a great job with over 250 students in our Blacktown studio & 50 at Glenmore park. Running classes Monday to Thursday afternoons keeps us all on our toes, yet also keeps us fit & healthy.

My vision for Innovative Dance co is to continue to improve & expand our professionalism that we are greatly recognized for, for many more years to come.
